With its access into the southern gate to Letaba game reserve it is perfectly placed as one of only one of three lodges on 42000 hectares (bigger than the entire Sabie Sands Reserve ) of traversing big 5 territory for amazing and solitary private day and night drives.

Letaba Game Reserve covers just over 42 000ha sharing a 27 km unfenced border with Kruger National Park. This is a great pristine wilderness allowing you to encounter the wild side of this remote area. There are various water holes and highlight points in the area and also traversing to the Nothern Great Letaba River where travelers can also view hippos and crocodiles on the banks of the mighty Letaba River.

Letaba Game Reserve is well known for its large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as the rest of the big five. The reserve is also a hot-spot for African Wild Dog sightings. There are ample plains game and abundant bird life as well. While sitting around the fire and chatting the night away, you may encounter the sounds of a trumpeting elephant passing by or the sounds of predators calling into the night. This is truly the a utopia of by gone days to really get close to nature at its best.

Letaba Safari Lodge is deep in the African bush. After each drive there will be a short sundowner at the nearby water hole close by to watch the wildlife and relax under bright African night skies. Later head back to camp for a perfect meal and evening rest in the solitude of this pristine ,superb African lodge.
